Immerse yourself into the world of the Elder Scrolls. If you always wondered what Cabbage Apple stew or Sweetrolls from Skyrim tasted like, now you can make them yourself in the real world using this book. I absolutely LOVED reading through this book. You not only get the recipes, but some of the lore behind them. I've made a few of the recipes so far and they have all been very good. I made the Nord Oatmeal Shortbread (delicious), and the Companions Meatball Potato Bake. Both of these were a great success. I really enjoy the author's slightly unusual sense of spice use. She has created her own spice mixes and they are fantastic. They use combinations of spices that are just slightly different from the norm. For instance, the shortbread cookies...which are sweet...use the Nord Spice mix that includes Grains of Paradise. If you have never heard of that (like me) it is a spice that is a little bit like black pepper, BUT BETTER! It has a little bit of hot, spicy flavor that is fantastic. I was a little hesitant to put it in the shortbread, but it was GREAT! I never would have ever thought of doing something like that without the encouragement of this book. I absolutely LOVE this cookbook. I recommend it to ANYONE, whether you've played the games or not, you will find so many wonderful recipes here to love.
